Revisions/major overhauls

During a complete overhaul, the watch is being dismantled into all of its components. Because it is a machine, there is often abrasion due to wear and tear. Oils and fats evaporate or become hard and ultimately promote  even more wear. Every part is carefully checked . Faulty or worn components are being replaced. Everything is cleaned and then reassembled, oiled, greased and adjusted. I recommend having an overhaul carried out at least every 7 years to ensure a long life for your watch.

Prices / KVA

Since the world of watches is very diverse, it is very difficult to give flat rates. I inspect each watch in detail and create a quote (KVA) for you. This usually varies between €15 and €85 depending on the complexity of the watch.

In case of a placement of order  the  costs for the KVA  will be waived. For larger orders I insist on a deposit. Depending on the watch, you will get one or two years of warranty on the function of the mechanics.

Water resistance

With every major overhaul I will aim to restore water tightness. I usually replace all seals, and if necessary I offer you a new glass. In some cases due to age or wear and tear, it is no longer possible to achieve waterproofness. I recommend having your watch tested regularly. Water resistance is not a static condition and once water gets into the watch, it is usually a total loss. Therefore, always be careful!

I can't  guarantee waterproofness! I can only state the condition of the waterproofness of your watch when you collect it.
